The Asset Migration Lifecycle
Our Asset Migration Service is modular. Each part of the service can be operated individually or as part of a comprehensive packaged service. We recognise that each migration is different, so our services can be easily adapted to each firm’s proposition, investment strategy and chosen platform.
We offer an adviser centered service, focusing on a firm’s business model, data structures and above all, their clients. Our migration tool utilises unique batching logic that extracts and computes data from varying sources enabling a firm to understand the clients that can be migrated quickly and efficiently to their platform of choice (known as client ‘cohorts’). Every identified client cohort has its own switch playbook, each with its own set of actions and considerations
Assessment & Design
This is typically a 2-4 week elapsed process that is dependent on the number of legacy platforms, the quality and completeness of the underlying client and investment data.
We have developed a data cohorting dashboard that provides a visualisation of each of the client segments together with the proposed approach to client consent, communications and asset migration.
We support both bulk asset and batched client migrations, the choice being dependent on book size and the desired client experience.

The assessment and design process culminates with an onsite workshop where we use the dashboards to co-create the most effective migration approach and timeline for each of the client cohorts.

We can support firms throughout this process where we manage all the activities or we can support an in-house team by providing quality assurance services and guidance as required. When we are responsible this activity is typically 6-8 weeks for simple migrations and up to 6 months for larger more complex multi-platform migrations.
